What to check before ordering
A pneumatic coil either fits the vehicle or it does not — there is no half-way variant. Below is what decides the fit.
Nipple thread
The catalogue holds three: M16×1.5, M18×1.5 and M22×1.5. The thread has to match the coupling on the tractor unit and on the trailer. If the two ends differ, you need two different nipples on one coil — we build those to order.
Colour and line marking
Available in red, yellow, black-red and black-yellow. The colour distinguishes the lines within a set so the circuits are not mixed up when coupling. When ordering, give the colour that matches what is already on the vehicle.
Working length, not stretched length
The catalogue's 4 m is the working length — the length at which the coil operates without tension. It stretches further, but running it at the limit shortens its life. Measure the distance between couplings at the sharpest articulation of the combination.
Polyurethane instead of nylon
Polyurethane does not stiffen in frost and does not crack when crushed the way nylon tubing does. The working range of −40 °C to 90 °C covers a Northern European winter with margin. Built to DIN 73378.
